The network between worlds

Six major trade lanes thread the Confederation’s military districts. These corridors give structure to movement across a territory too large to treat as a single continuous frontier. Their importance extends from commerce to military supply and the movement of fleets.

The Confederation reports thirty-four operational star gates anchoring its transport network. Control of those nodes gives the surrounding routes substantial strategic importance.

Transport and communications

GalaxyNet overlays the physical transport network. Navigation and communication therefore depend on systems that connect the same dispersed territories. CONTRA administers the communications grid, while federal and corporate forces contribute to the movement and protection of shipping.

At the frontier, charted routes do not guarantee sustained federal patrol. The strength of Confederate authority diminishes beyond the Limit of Control.
